PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The VAMNE Magnetic Fecal/Soil DNA Extraction Kit is suitable for extracting DNA from a variety of samples, including soil, feces, intestinal contents, fermentation products, and water filtration membranes. This kit combines chemical and mechanical methods to effectively lyse bacteria and fungi with thick cell walls, and employs a special humic acid removal technology to effectively remove humic acid and other inhibitory factors from the sample. The high-affinity magnetic beads used in the kit adsorb nucleic acids through hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions in a high-salt buffer solution. After rinsing to remove excess humic acid, proteins, salts, and other impurities, the magnetic beads release nucleic acids in a low-salt elution buffer, thus achieving rapid separation and purification of nucleic acids. This kit can rapidly extract high-yield, high-purity DNA that can be directly used for PCR, qPCR, next-generation sequencing, and other experiments.
Performance
- Excellent DNA Extraction Performance
Microbial genomic DNA was extracted from various soil/fecal samples using the Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extractor in conjunction with the DMA510 series (V) and other similar products from suppliers A-D. (See Figure 1.) The extracted DNA products were then analyzed by electrophoresis and purity testing. Results showed that the DMA510 series products exhibited clear and relatively bright bands, with OD260/280 and OD260/230 values closer to standard values, indicating higher purity.
- Compatible with Multiple Environmental Samples
Microbial genomic DNA was extracted from various environmental samples using the Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extractor in conjunction with the DMA510 series (V) and a leading international product (supplier D). (See Figure 2.) PCR amplification of the 16S region (full-length 16S) and ITS regions (ITS1-2) was performed. Results showed that the DMA510 series products outperformed supplier D in terms of yield, and both exhibited clear target bands, resulting in generally satisfactory detection performance.
- No Downstream Inhibition
DNA was extracted from the same soil or fecal samples using the Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extractor in conjunction with the DMA510 series (V) and similar products from suppliers A-E, and then analyzed by qPCR. (See Figure 3.) The results showed that the products extracted by the DMA510 series exhibited virtually no downstream amplification inhibition.
- Rich Microbial Diversity
Different types of soil or fecal samples were extracted using the Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extractor in conjunction with the DMA510 series (V) and industry-leading product supplier D. (See Figure 4.) Next-generation sequencing results showed that the distribution structure and diversity of bacteria and fungi extracted by the DMA510 series were similar to those from supplier D. Next-generation sequencing results of black soil samples extracted using the Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extractor in conjunction with the DMA510 series (V) and similar products from other manufacturers (suppliers A-D) showed that, compared to other products, the distribution structure and diversity of bacteria and fungi extracted by the DMA510 series were closer to those from supplier D.
