TUNEL BrightGreen Apoptosis Detection Kit, SKU: A112
Brighter & stable green fluorescent TUNEL apoptosis detection
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
During apoptosis, specific intracellular endonucleases are activated, and chromatin DNA undergoes specific cleavage between nucleosomes, degrading the DNA into fragments of approximately 180-200 bp. The 3'-hydroxyl (3'-OH) ends of the fragmented DNA can bind to fluorescein-12-deoxyuridine triphosphate (FITC-12-dUTP) under the action of terminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase (TdT). FITC-12-dUTP-labeled DNA can be directly observed under a fluorescence microscope or quantitatively analyzed by flow cytometry to reflect the level of apoptosis. BrightGreen labeling mixtures contain FITC-12-dUTP and the Bright factor. This unique small molecule compound non-covalently binds to FITC, enhancing its stability and amplifying its signal, resulting in brighter labeled fluorescence and stronger resistance to quenching.
The BrightRed Labeling Mix contains TMR red-dUTP and Bright factor. This unique small molecule compound can non-covalently bind to TMR red-dUTP, enhance its stability and amplify its signal, resulting in brighter labeled fluorescence and stronger anti-quenching ability.
