In vitro transcription of ssRNA
T7 Turbo RNA Polymerase (200 U/μl, GMP Grade), SKU: GMP4120PB
T7 Turbo RNA polymerase (T7 RNAP) is a DNA-dependent 5'→ 3' RNA polymerase that highly specifically recognizes T7 promoter sequences.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
T7 Turbo RNA polymerase (T7 RNAP) is a protein encoded by T7 phage DNA and expressed in recombinant *E. coli* (clone D05). It is a DNA-dependent 5'→3' RNA polymerase that highly specifically recognizes the T7 promoter sequence. Using single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) or double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) containing the T7 promoter sequence as a template and NTPs as substrates, this enzyme synthesizes RNA complementary to the downstream ssDNA or dsDNA template strand. Compared to wild-type T7 RNA polymerase, T7 Turbo RNA polymerase effectively reduces impurities generated during transcription, such as dsRNA byproducts, while significantly increasing the capping rate of the co-transcription reaction products.
Applications
In vitro transcription of RNA.
