In vitro transcription of dsRNA by T7 RNA Polymerase
Product Overview
T7 RNA polymerase uses four NTPs as substrates for in vitro transcription of RNA from a DNA template containing a T7 promoter. The T7 RNAi Transcription Kit is an optimized version of the T7 High-Yield RNA Transcription Kit, specifically designed for transcription of double-stranded RNA. It can be used to transcribe 21 bp siRNAs and long dsRNAs.
Purified transcripts are suitable for RNAi experiments mediated by cationic liposomes, calcium phosphate co-precipitation, electroporation, DEAE-Dextran, and microinjection. Typically, one reaction yields 20-80 μg of RNA.
