PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This kit is suitable for the rapid extraction of total RNA from plant tissues, especially those rich in polysaccharides, polyphenols, or starch (e.g., cotton, mature rice, pine needles, poplar, loquat, potato, banana, grape, apple, pear, laurel, buckwheat seeds, and Arabidopsis seeds). Extraction protocols are also provided for common plant tissues such as Arabidopsis and tobacco. Based on silica membrane purification technology, this kit eliminates the need for time-consuming alcohol precipitation and the use of phenol/chloroform or any other toxic reagents during extraction. FastPure gDNA-Filter Columns II effectively removes impurities, adsorbing and removing genomic DNA. FastPure RNA Columns IV efficiently binds RNA, and with optimized buffers, high-purity total RNA is obtained. The isolated RNA is free from protein or other contaminants. It can be used for RT-PCR, real-time PCR, microarrays, Northern blotting, dot blotting, Poly(A) screening, in vitro translation, RNase protection assays, molecular cloning, and other downstream experiments.
