D-Luciferin potassium salt, SKU: DD1210
D-Luciferin potassium salt is featured with high purity, solubility and good stability.
Product Overview
D-luciferin potassium salt is a substrate used in in vivo bioluminescence imaging to detect luciferase gene expression. Its mechanism of action is as follows: in the presence of ATP, magnesium ions, and oxygen, luciferase catalyzes the oxidation of D-luciferin potassium salt as a substrate, thereby generating a strong bioluminescent signal. In vivo imaging experiments involve introducing cells or mRNA expression vectors capable of expressing luciferase into experimental animals. Subsequently, D-luciferin potassium salt is injected, and changes in luminescence intensity are detected using a small animal optical imaging system, reflecting the expression level of luciferase. It can be used in fields, such as tumor research, immunology and stem cell research, drug research, cell/protein/mRNA labeling, and protein-protein interaction studies.
Working Principle
See the luciferase detection principle (Figure 1).
