Add&Read TR-FRET Human IL8 Quantitative Detection Kit, SKU: DD2709
Add&Read Human IL8 is based on TR-FRET technology, also known as "wash-free ELISA". Compared with traditional ELISA, it only requires two steps, saving more than 80% of time and labor.

Product Overview

Interleukin-8 (IL-8), also known as CXCL8, is a widely expressed pro-inflammatory member of the CXC chemokine family, initially identified as a leukocyte chemokine. It is secreted by various cell types, including monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, eosinophils, T lymphocytes, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts. IL-8 regulates the inflammatory response by guiding neutrophil aggregation to the site of infection through chemotaxis.

This Add&Read TR-FRET Human IL8 Quantitative Detection Kit uses a sandwich assay to detect IL-8 levels. The kit contains an IL-8 standard and two monoclonal antibodies that specifically recognize IL-8. One antibody is conjugated to Eu (donor, Anti-IL-8-Eu), and the other to A3 (receptor, Anti-IL-8-A3). When both antibodies bind to IL-8 simultaneously, Anti-IL-8-Eu and Anti-IL-8-A3 approach each other, resulting in fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) (Figure 1). The fluorescent donor was excited using 320/340 nm excitation light, emitting light at 620 nm. The fluorescent acceptor was excited using 620 nm light, emitting light at 665 nm. The concentration of IL-8 in the sample was proportional to the FRET signal value (the ratio of fluorescence intensity at 665 nm and 620 nm).
