Add&Read TR-FRET Human IL6 Quantitative Detection Kit (Customized), SKU: DD2703-CThis kit is based on TR-FRET technology, also known as "wash-free ELISA". Compared with traditional ELISA, it only requires two steps, saving more than 80% of time and labor.
Product Overview
Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a pleiotropic cytokine primarily produced by macrophages, T lymphocytes, and B lymphocytes. It regulates the growth, differentiation, immune response, acute-phase response, and hematopoietic function of various cells, playing a crucial role in the body's immune response to infection. IL-6 plays a central role in acute inflammatory responses, and various infectious diseases can lead to elevated serum IL-6 levels. IL-6 activation is short-lived, and its decline during the recovery period is rapid and significant, making it a good indicator for assessing early inflammation, sepsis, infection severity, and prognosis.
This Add&Read TR-FRETHuman IL6 Detection Kit uses a sandwich assay to detect IL-6 levels. This kit contains IL-6 standards and two IL-6-specific monoclonal antibodies: one conjugated to Eu (donor, Anti-IL-6-Eu), and the other conjugated to A3 (receptor, Anti-IL-6-A3). When both antibodies bind to IL-6 simultaneously, the proximity of Anti-IL-6-Eu and Anti-IL-6-A3 allows fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) to occur. (See Figure 1.) The fluorescent donor is excited using 320/340 nm excitation light, emitting light at 620 nm. The fluorescent acceptor is excited using 620 nm light, emitting light at 665 nm. The concentration of IL-6 in the sample is directly proportional to the FRET signal (the ratio of fluorescence intensity at 665 nm to 620 nm).
